Chicago Bears the new 99 rams!

The greatest show on grass? Could the Chicago Bears be that? Hmmmm. I think they could be the greatest show on grass this year. Mike Martz is the OC this year and he steps in to jump start the bear lowly offense similarly to the 99 rams team. A stud at QB in Jay Cutler, two dual threat running backs in Matt Forte and Chester Taylor that gives them a complete backfield. The bears receiver are a question mark coming into the season like rams in 99. Johnny Knox is Torry Holt, Rashid Davis is Isaac Bruce and Devin Hester is Az Hakim thats an explosive group of receiver along with two good tight ends in Greg olsen and Desmond clark. I think its a 500 plus point season and division title. Book it ya Dig!!

The Best value in the Draft

The best valued player in this year's draft is Jahvid Best. Best's body and attributes are similar to chris johnson based on his college resume. No denying that NFL executives were wrong about CJ2K after he lead the NFL with over 2000 yards rushing along with over 2500 yards from scrimmage. Im not saying Best is going to rush for 2k this this year but the home run capability is definitely there. The scouts are saying Best is to small to be a every down back in the NFL, wow sounds like 2 years ago. At 5,8 199 pounds, Best isnt the ideal stature for a tailback in the league but you cant measure a player's heart by the size of his body. He has talent and skills which made him highly productive in a top notch conference.



Why pass on Best? There's no reason to pass on him. The top rated running back in this year's draft is CJ Spiller, who's only 5'9 196 pounds; yet the scouts love his explosiveness with 22 touchdown over 50 yards out of his 50 total touchdown. It's crazy that Best is the third rated back in the draft.when Best and Spiller are the same stature, with the same explosiveness. I guess scouts question Best's durability after an injury forced him to miss the final four of the season. Best has first round talent but the scouts gave him a 2nd or 3rd round projection. The lions saw the value in Best so they traded up to the late first to draft him. Best is lightning in a bottle and is set to break the ankles of opposing defender. So eveyone who passed on him beware the next CJ2K is on the loose.

The Ant vs The Ant Eater

Can Butler slay another giant or will their historic run end tonight? The history of Duke versus Butler trying to make its own history will come down to whoever can win the tempo battle. People will be glued to the tv tonight to see if they can witness a magical Butler upset, just like NC state did in 1983 over the heavily favored Phi Slama Jama Houston squad with a dunk at the buzzer or just like Nova did in1985 to beat heavily favored Georgetown by shooting 79 percent. Hmmmm where will you be watching history unfold? Get your sit, your snacks and your drinks ready, this one won't be decided until the last minute so get comfortable folks!!

Does Butler really have a chance? Yes, they have a really good chance of winning by controlling the tempo and making it a slow ugly game. Butler has won 25 straight games coming into tonight which, makes them the hottest team in the tournament. Throughout their 25 game winning streak, they have won ugly by overcoming bad shooting nights which is a sign of a good defensive team. Butler is a fundamentally sound and they are going to make Duke brawl tonight. Duke wants to play like Roy Jones Jr and Butler is bringing the brawl game of BHop, you already know who won that fight. Butler is lacing up the gloves right now and is going to knock Duke out in the 12th because they can't trust the judges decision.

Are They Too Hollywood?

Are the lakers a Hollywood movie? Yes they are a drama filled with suspense. The lakers fill each episode with action packed moments along with several mind boggling blunders. Their movie showcases a star studded line-up Kobe, Pau, Artest and director Phil Jackson. Why do we watch? The lakers reel you in with their history and ability to perform in primetime; yet they will give the viewers a dud from time to time which, reels you in even closer to see how the next episode ends.

Hmmmm. Yes the Lakers 2-3 in their last five games after they won seven straight. That doesnt matter to the viewers because they know the lakers could give everyone a masterpiece in the last seven games of the season. How could they? If the lakeshow wins the next seven by an average of 10 points per game to close out the season, all will be forgiven until the lakers sleep walk through a playoff game just like the Houston series last season. We all will watch because we dont know the outcome especially with the lakers. A talented roster filled with veterans but the team has an anttention span of a 10 year old; yet the lakers continue to entertain us with their psychotic play. This is proof that greatness gives them a long rope with the viewers, 15 titles in 30 final appearances will do it thats enough said!


So, the drama continues tonight with episode 76 at Staples Center Jazz @ Lakers, tipoff is 730. We will all be eagerly watching after a repulsive performance on their five game road trip. It's fitting that the Lakers are from Los Angeles because the suspense and mind numbing theatrics are straight from a hollywood film. The viewers love the lakers for their success but they hate the adventures the Lakers go through while achieving championships. As up and down as the Lakers are, they are still the favorite to win the ship.
